Recoveron Industrial

Overhead Cleaning Services

Certified technicians clean ceilings, beams, pipes and other hard-to-reach overhead areas safely, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Throughout the Continental U.S.

Overhead and Ceiling Cleaning, Done From a Lift

Dust, dirt and process residue collect on ceilings, ductwork, pipes, light fixtures and structural steel, where day to day housekeeping cannot reach them. Recoveron Industrial technicians are trained and certified to work at height, and we follow Good Manufacturing Practices so the cleaning supports the standards you are audited against.

Most of this work happens with little or no interruption to production. Food processing plant, manufacturing plant or foundry, the schedule is built around your operations rather than ours.

Overhead Cleaning Services

The Surfaces We Reach

Ceilings, walls and structure

Ceilings and high ceilings, walls, high window sills, ceiling plenums, and the girders, trusses and rafters above them.

Ductwork, pipes and fixtures

Ductwork, pipe runs, light fixtures and fans. Dust builds up here out of sight and comes back down into the plant when something vibrates.

Dust collection and vacuuming

Racking and high-bay storage

High-bay warehouse shelving, pallet racks, racking systems, stacker cranes and pallet cranes, cleaned without pulling the racking out of service any longer than needed.

What Makes Overhead Work Different

Certified to work at height

Our technicians are trained and certified with a lift and come with the access equipment the bay needs. Height is not a reason for an exclusion at the bottom of the quote.

Protection for what is below

The area is cleared and the equipment, product and lines under the work are covered before anything comes down. What falls is caught rather than spread across the floor.

GMP on the floor

We work to Good Manufacturing Practices, so overhead cleaning supports your compliance program instead of creating a problem somewhere else in it.

How an Overhead Cleaning Project Runs

The walk-through

We measure the heights, look at what runs or is stored underneath, and agree how the area will be accessed.

Scope and access

The quote names the surfaces, the heights, the access equipment and what is excluded. Access is where overhead quotes differ most from each other.

Clear, cover and lock out

The floor below is cleared, equipment and product are covered, and anything that needs isolating is locked out with your team.

Clean, inspect, hand back

The work, then a documented inspection from the floor and from height. In an audited facility that record is evidence of scheduled cleaning.

What Our Customers Say

"We had some heavy dust/oil build-up on our Fresh Air intakes and Exhaust fans at the 30-foot ceiling left. Recoveron came in, blocked off the area, brushed and vacuumed the areas, and cleaned the floors when done.

Their group cleaned and painted a control room exterior and even cleaned and painted a workstation and safety barrier. They look very good.

Part of the group worked on the back wall behind the machinery, brushing and vacuuming it, making it look 100% better.
Thank you very much."

Charles Great Northern Corporation Appleton, WI

"Recoveron was a great choice for the room we needed cleaned. It had diesel soot and oil caked on (walls, ceiling and floor) for over 15 years and their team has it spotless. One of the biggest comments we have received from our employees is that "It doesn't even look like the same room". Their service was timely, very easy to schedule, and customer service was amazing. Would strongly recommend using Recoveron for future projects here and to anyone in need of any of their services."

Trent W.S. Darley Chippewa Falls, WI

"After getting quotes from a few other companies, I chose Recoveron to perform cleaning of the ceilings, trusses, exposed piping, and walls in our production areas. We also needed additional cleaning performed around a printing press, which involved cleaning dust, chemicals, oils, and solvents. We had not cleaned these surfaces in years, and the build-up was quite heavy in some areas. Our facility has an upcoming audit scheduled for SQF certification, and it was very apparent that Andy knew exactly what needed to be done to pass the audit.

The crew arrived on time each day and did a fantastic job! They had to maneuver around many pallets and areas with little clearance. Watching the workers as they drove the boom lifts, it was evident that they were fully trained, took every safety precaution, and knew what they were doing. They never complained; they just adapted to the situation. There was clear communication between myself and the project manager, and the crew lead did a walk-thru with me at the start of each shift to ensure things were being done to my satisfaction. The price was reasonable for the magnitude of work we needed, and I am completely happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend Recoveron!"

Patti Color Ink Sussex, WI

"The Recoveron team was very responsive and quick to action. On multiple occasions, I've reached out to them for support and Andy has gotten back to me within hours. I look forward to working with them in the future."

Isabel Plenty Unlimited Inc San Francisco, California

"Recoveron has been with us through AIB certification to becoming SQF certified. They do pre-inspections to determine the scope of work and provide on-sight documentation. Once the work is completed, they furnish the needed information for inspections.

For the past six years, they have provided plant cleaning and coatings for our Wisconsin facility and now are working at our Minnesota location. Recoveron is a knowledgeable and reliable resource that I would recommend to any manufacturer!"

Brandon N.E.W. Plastics Corp. Minneapolis, MN

"I have passed on this information to others within Republic Services."

Mark Republic Services Melrose Park, IL

Jim Automated Pet Care Products, LLC Auburn Hills, MI

Joe Republic Services Hazelwood, MO

Good overall experience."

Benjamin Swift Prepared Foods Council Bluffs, IA

“The Recoveron team arrived on time and prepared with all of the required personal protective equipment and food safety requirements in hand. Once onsite their team was extremely self motivated, driven, and required very little oversight from our facility's resources other than general check-ins. Overall we were very impressed with the overhead pipe cleaning service that they provide. I would highly recommend their cleaning crew to any manufacturing facility needing this type of service.”

Kerry Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. Wisconsin Rapids, WI

"Our building looks so much better and I appreciate all the hard work from your team."

FAQ

Overhead Cleaning & Knockdowns: common questions

What is overhead cleaning?

Overhead cleaning is the removal of dust, dirt and process residue from ceilings, walls, ductwork, pipes, light fixtures, racking and structural steel, using lifts or scaffolding to reach them. Recoveron Industrial does this work in plants, warehouses and factories across the continental U.S.

How do you reach a 30 foot ceiling?

With boom lifts, scissor lifts, cherry pickers or scaffolding, chosen for the bay and for what sits on the floor below. Our technicians are trained and certified to work from them, and the access equipment is named in the quote rather than treated as an extra.

What surfaces does overhead cleaning cover?

Ceilings and high ceilings, walls and high window sills, ceiling plenums, girders, trusses and rafters, ductwork, pipes, light fixtures and fans, and high-bay warehouse shelving, pallet racks, racking systems, stacker cranes and pallet cranes.

Do we have to shut the plant down for overhead cleaning?

Usually not. The work is planned around your operations and contained to one area at a time so the rest of the building keeps producing. Some areas do need the line underneath stopped, and the quote says which ones.

How is equipment below the work protected?

The area is cleared and the machinery, product and lines underneath are covered before cleaning starts, so what comes off the ceiling is caught rather than spread across the plant.

Does overhead cleaning help with a GMP or food safety audit?

Yes. Overhead surfaces are among the first places an auditor looks for accumulation, because what collects there eventually falls. Recoveron follows Good Manufacturing Practices and hands back a record of what was cleaned and when.
