Warehouses are typically divided into several areas, each with a specific function, and a cleaning plan that treats the whole building as one space will do some areas too lightly and others unnecessarily.
The zones under one roof
- Rail siding
- Docks
- Receiving area
- Hazardous material storage
- Storage area
- Picking area
- Shipping area
- Refrigerated area for perishables
- Office area
- Maintenance area
- Breakroom and restrooms
Each of these has its own traffic, its own soil and its own tolerance for disruption. The refrigerated area has requirements the storage aisles do not. Hazardous material storage has rules the picking area does not. The docks take weather and vehicle traffic that the offices never see.
Not just the floor
Warehouse cleaning gets thought of as a floor job, and floors are only part of it. The building’s conveyors, cranes and other equipment and machinery need cleaning and painting too, and so does the structural steel overhead, where dust settles unnoticed until something disturbs it.
Working across all of it
We have the expertise and experience to work in every one of these areas, plus the ability to clean and paint the equipment inside them. That matters on a site where one contractor moving between zones is considerably simpler than several.
